I'm bumping out the kitchen two feet, that's the max the code allows before a foundation needs to be poured (the expensive route).
The existing floor joists run North/South, the bump-out will be coming in from the West. Any suggestions/tricks for tying in a supporting nook bumpout when the floor joist run opposite of ideal? The I-joists are 16" on center. |
