I recently purchase at 1890s two story commercial building to restore. The first floor was sagged and subsequently some of the second. Flooring on the first floor is now removed revealing the problem. The 2 X 12 inch oak floor joist have rotted and dropped where the sat in the 12 inch brick wall/footer. I will be correcting the water drainage and ventilation problem the cause the rotting. The joist appear to be straight and solid except on the ends. I am looking for recommendations on how to reinstall these joist into the brick, such as, sistering , special joist hanger, etc.
