....I originally addressed to Tom because I thought he runs this board but its clear you can offer the same assistance (I saw your words for the poster below this one). Can you please? Any and all info is greatly appreciated by my wife and me, believe me.

Chris, my first response is, Wow! If I were hiring an abatement worker I think I'd offer you a job. You certainly have done a thorough job of responding to this issue. And it sounds like you've done pretty much what you can do. I agree with those who are telling you that this probably isn't as big a risk as might seem. The "A" word scares so many people. In order for floor tile removal to truly prevent a health hazard it would have to turn the tile into "dust". That can happen on stubborn floors but it isn't too common. Even small pieces of broken tile are not "dust" ("friable").
You've certainly done a thorough job of cleaning. I don't think air quality tests will be conclusive unless you run what is called a "TEM analysis" (Transmission Electron Microscopy). These are very expensive and they are the only type that identify actual asbestos fibers (as opposed to just microscopic fibers). You could expect to pay a thousand dollars for this kind of service. I really don't think it is warranted. If you told me you had some kind of pipewrap or asbestos plaster it might be a very different issue.
Hope this helps.

Fortress,
I certainly hope Bob Vila is giving you and Tomh a nice paycheck for your efforts on this board. Everybody I talk to who knows something about the “A” word tell me my particular issue is not the nightmare I have built it into. I tend to over-worry about things like this and your words give me more comfort than you know. I genuinely thank you for that.

Paycheck? You've got to be kidding! I get on this board for the fun. I love to talk about asbestos (I've been in the business for about 20 years) and most people don't give a rip about it. Got a find an audience somewhere. LOL. Have a good day.
