We have added an addition onto our house and our foundation vents are in need of some foundation wells to help prevent water from entering the crawl space.

Could some one please tell me how to install this foundation wells.

You start by installing a French drain around the house at a level below the window wells (the lower the better) and sloping down to a point of discharge away from the house. Fill up above the drain with clean washed stone to the bottom of the new window wells. Place the window wells and back fill around them. Do not get dirt in the window wells.

When it rains water will drain through the stone and be carried away in the French drain.
