We have a GE Gas Range with electronic Ignition that Randomly Sparks when the burners are in the off position. Sometimes it lasts for 5-10 seconds, sometimes minutes. Nothing we tried can get it to stop. Is there an easy fix or way to troubleshoot? Thanks, Alex

Might be a late post here. Do you live in a high humidity area?? Spark ignition works with a spark to ground. High humidity can cause this. Also if stove is older there might have been a spill that has gotten into the switches behind the knobs and control panel |

We live in So Cal near the beach, so it's often humid. Is there any way to fix it (aside from moving to Arizona)? Thanks! -Alex |

You might try replacing the spark module. All stoves have a different location for this. I'm not sure if I can do this but try going to ***** .com and looking in the parts section Go for the pictures not the list when searching for the spark module |
