I finally found a suitable replacement!

Don't bother with Touchplate.com. They claim that their switchplates are compatible with the GE switches, but they are NOT, so don't waste your money.

I found someone on eBay who CNC cuts replacement switch plates for the GE low-voltage switches. His name is Tom Farmer, and he owns Upstate CNC in NY. If you go on eBay and search for "Rare GE Low Voltage", you'll find that he sells 1-gang, 2-gang, and 3-gang plates, and if you contact him, he can make them from 40 different types of wood to match your home. I bought one just to try it, and it fits perfectly and looks great too. The image shows his replacement switch plate next to an actual GE low-voltage switch plate.

If you are like me, you have found that finding true GE switchplates is virtually impossible. I think that these are the next best thing.

Ge cover plates

I accidentally threw out some while painting. I did not realize how hard they were to get. I would need 3 single and 3 triple switch cover plates if you have them. Please give me a call (607)206-6295. I work nights so feel free to leave a message if I do not answer.

GE Low Voltgage System

03/10/2008 10:08 PM SteveT101

Snowberrysales,

I am also looking for the RR7 relay 24 volt parts. My house has 3 types of GE low voltage switches.

I need switches that are either rocker or push-button type and wall plates.

Do you have swithes to sell and do your wall plates mount vertical or horizonal.

Thanks,
Steve Tomasco

GE Low Voltage switch plate covers

Hi Steve,

My GE Switch plates are the horizonal type. They are the rocker type and most are new or gently used. I also have some use rocker switches.
I have been collecting these parts for ten years for my own system.
I would sell switch plates for $25.00 each with shipping included. I only have three used rocker switches with no guarentees. $15.00 each with free shipping if included with order for switch plates.

GE Low Voltage

03/11/2008 09:44 AM SteveT101

dnldchamb9's,

Thanks for the information for GE Supply. I very much appreciate it. The local GE Supply in King of Prussia closed about 10 years ago. Since then I have picked up part as I find them. The RR7 relays are still available and easy to find. The rocker switches and plates are difficult.

I will search for any GE Supply and call them.

Thanks,
Steve
