Garage Door

10/25/2007 05:08 PM pgl249

When the temperature is colder, my garage door will come down part of the way and then go back up.
I will use my hand and pull slightly and then it will come down fine. It will go up without a problem. It does not happen in warm weather only when it is cold. I have had it checked and nothing was found wrong with the door.

Garge door

I assume that you mean that you have a garge door OPENER that is doing this.

Relase the door from the opener and manually operate it.

Open it half way. It should stay there. If it does not the springs need adjusting.

Then manually open and close the door and make sure that it works freely and does not bind.

If that was not the problem the closing force limit on the door needs adjusting.
