Gas Furnace Above Bedroom

12/26/2007 10:57 AM djsteis

I live in a three-story townhome, approximately 1400 sq. feet (2100 if you count finished basement, which has baseboard heat).

We have one heating zone on the main floor; however, the gas furnace is directly above the master bedroom in the attic. Needless to say, it gets quite hot and uncomfortable at night during the winter.

We are thinking about adding a new zone to the upper floor and fixing/adjusting the ductwork to alleviate some of the heating issues.

Do you think this will solve the problem, and if so, how much should something like this cost?

Thanks
