I had a Geo deck built in the summer of 2002 but due to warping, splitting and boards coming up it was replaced in the fall of 2004. The new boards started splitting and crumbling in the summer of 2007. This spring I had 12 boards split and the total top layer crumbled down to the bottom layer out of 49 boards. The railing split and sagged in many places. Now at this time I have 25 out of 49 boards split, warped and crumbled to the bottom layer. My deck is 16 X 23 with two steps down to the ground with railing along the side.
It looks horrible and worse yet it is a safety hazard. No one can walk on it for fear of injury.
I am retired and cannot afford to replace this deck. I would like to join the class action lawsuit and need to know what to do next. I live in SW Michigan.
