Glazing walls

04/29/2005 12:47 PM aandgbrauer

A few years back I "antiqued" some walls in an apartment by using beige and yellow colored backgrounds (2 separate rooms) and then brushed straight glazing over the top to soften and antique. The apartment has been rented the past few years and I need to touch up the walls after an upcoming move-out. Should I decide to repaint in a plain same or different color with no glazing, can I paint directly over the old glazed wall or do I have to remove the glazing, or cover the glazing, with something prior to painting?

Thank you kindly.
