My fiancee and I just recently bought a house. I pulled the carpet up in three rooms to find wood floors that seemed salvageable. There was old pad on the floor that had been there so long that it had literally stuck to the floor. I had to scrape the pad off of the floor with a tile scraper because it was so hard to get it off. I got done to the floor with old glue streaks on the floor. I tried to sand to glue off the floor with a Clark 1700 series sander/buffer but the glue gummed the sand paper up. I have tried mineral spirits and acetone and have not had any luck. What can I do to get the glue off of the floor? |
