I bought flooring that was marketed as Golden Teak, with a hardness at 82% harder than red oak. When I had the flooring delivered, I discovered it was actually something called timborana. After investigating, I found that timborana is a "teak like" wood, with a jaanka rating of 1570....much softer than what I was told.
Has anyone used this product, and is it legitimate that it is being marketed as golden teak, when it's not part of the teak species? Now I feel like I've received an inferior wood product in relation to what I thought I was buying. |
