Goodman

I live in Southern New Jersey and I am getting quotes on a new 90%+ furnace and
14 SEER C/A plus a Honeywell humidifier. The best quote so far is for Goodman Equipment. I never heard of Goodman, is it good quality, reliable, long lasting?
Also, the furnace is 80,000 BTU, the A/C is 3 ton + a honeywell humidifier. The quote is $3150.00 installed and there is a ten year warranty for parts and labor. Is this a good deal?

Sounds like a great deal. Goodman is average as far as equipment goes. The warranty is what you should look at. Failure of new eqipment is never welcome and a great warranty is your piece of mind to get you back up and running.

Goodman is a good utility brand. The problem is that Goodman sells to anyone and everyone so the Goodman dealer will be here today and not here tomorrow. Plus, if there is ever a problem, you'll never be able to talk to the factory or get anything from them. Stick with a brand that teams up with solid dealers. Like Lennox, Carrier or Trane. Comfort and health are too important to buy the cheapest from a marginal dealer. I could have bought a Hyundai for lots less and it even had a longer warranty but I bought a Toyota.
