Can anyone give me any experienced feedback on the quality of Trane (XL14i w/R410A) vs Amana (ASX14) AC systems? I am replacing a complete system and I am having trouble choosing equipment. I am definately going with a variable speed furnace to help achieve higher efficiency.

Before someone makes a sales pitch for their product, consider finding the best installer/service person as these two brands are good enough to do the job well. It is the poor mechanic that can convert the best into junk in a year. There are no companies that want to make a product so bad that they fail more than others so they can be boycotted out of business.
