Hardwood Flooring Question

I have hardwood floors that have been refinished and I go to great lengths to protect them. I’ve been told that the low-profile "Water Trapper" sold by Orvis, along with other companies, is safe for use on hardwoods floor. I spoke with the Orvis customer service department who contacted the manufacturer and they assured me the product was safe for use on hardwood floors. The flooring company who redid my floors were VERY specific about not putting down any product with a rubber or latex backing, so I've avoided these products although they would be perfect for what I need, especially since they are low profile. Has anyone else bought a "Water Trapper" for use on their hardwood floors? If so, have you had any problems? Thanks!!!
