Hardwood Flooring over a Concrete Radiant Heating Slab

04/04/1999 09:27 PM

Our current parquet floor that is glue to the concrete radiant heating floor is cracked, worn and past its useful life. we would like to replace the floor with a hardwood floor but are concerned about heat conduction, removal of the existing floor. Are there any products or floor type you would recommend? Thanks.

You might consider installing Pergo. It emulates hardwood flooring but is only 1/8"-1/4" thick which should cause no problems with heat transference.
