Has anyone used the Gutterpiller gutter protection system?

09/17/2004 09:58 AM kkujaws1

Has anyone used the Gutterpiller gutter protection system? I am considering this, the Flo-free system, or gutter filter. The price is nice and I can still access the gutters if there is an issue or "helicopters" get into the gutter. I usually remove about 4-8 plastic shopping bags full of helicopters during the spring and clean the gutters 2x a month during the mid-to-late fall. Luckily, we have a ranch home without much pitch to the roof.

Do not purchase these! We bought these from QVC. They caused us more problems with gutter/downspout drainage than we initially had. I have tried contacting the company (GutterPiller, Inc.), but they will not respond. QVC no longer carries these. I can't even sell them in a yard sale. Do not waste your money or time!!!!!

Sorry to see you've had a little problem with the Gutterpillers. Ive been installing them for my customers for over 5 years now and not ONE Recall. An outstanding product that is simple and easy to install. Made in the USA which is a major accomplishment since so many things are oursourced to china today. Keep up the good work and if you need to contact them you can see the full line of the Gutterpiller products at www.gutterpiller.com

Hey Scott
Ive been installing this product for a while now and we've never had it blow out of the gutter. the fit is normally a little over tight anyway. As far as mold or mildew, the natural elements keep the filter open and free flowing. not as much as a hint of this type of problem. even when we have installed them on the north side no problems or buildup of any kind
very good water flow and it really helps reduce ice damning dramatically. try them youll like the performance a lot.
