Help, footprint in new polyurethane floor!

11/02/2005 09:35 PM cybele

Hi:

I just had my kitchen floor redone, and the final coat of polyurethane went on today, and I stepped on it before it was dry and made a couple of footprints. Does anyone know how I can spot treat them? Should I sand them and redo that area? Any advise would be welcome!

Thanks,

Cybele

depends on the severity of it.

I would call the firm and have them professionally repair it.

if that isnt an option, for whatever reasons you may have, then you can try buffing/screening it out. If it is deep and that doesnt work, you can screen/sand/recoat, and repeat as neeeded, but you would want the exact products used for this.

it really is a repair for the professional, so if there is any chance of getting the finishers back, i would do that.
