A herringbone pattern isn't really meant to be curved, but rather allowed to run parallel and perpendicular as it goes, being 'cut in to' whatever outside border or limits or frame established for the walkway or patio. Attempting to 'bend' a herringbone pattern would create unequal size joints around curves, and you really wouldn't be happy with the final result. You can cut the pattern into your curved walkway, but it will mean a lot of cutting. But then again, most any pattern of square pegs into round holes will be cause for cutting something somewhere. |
