Home Theatre

02/13/2004 04:43 PM forcheck

I am in the process of building my family room in the basement. I want to install all the extras such as recessed lighting above my computer workstation as well as throughout the room. I also want to run Speaker wire for future Home theater installation. Is there any rule of thumb to the location of the wire for the best sound

I'll point you to some zealots

These folks will have all sorts of opinions. Go check them out.

By the way, my two best components for my home theater are a DirecTV-TiVo unit (by far the best consumer electronics device since the refrigerator) and some $10 bass shakers (buy Aura Interactor vests off ebay) bolted into the frame of my sofa.

Neither was expensive. TiVo is life-changing. The bass shakers just add a little extra for a very low price.
