I recently purchased a house with horsehair plaster in the upstairs bedrooms and now I am trying to get ideas on how to fix. It has cracks and no insulation so it is very cold in winter, have gotten several estimates with all different ideas and very costly. Recommendations were: completey gut enitre two rooms insulate and put up drywall. Blow insulation in walls, leave horsehair and drywall over. Drywall over plaster. Has anyone tried any of these and has it worked? Plus looking for a less costly idea. |
