Hot Water Heater

12/01/2007 07:46 PM Ha4oldSn3ll

We recently purchased a hot water heater to be sell installed in the mountains. Altitude is 7000 feet we purchased a 7,700 for HWH from Sears. I was told that I needed to adjust the P & T Valve according to the altitude. Being a novice, I don't has any idea what needs to be done. Is this difficult? Do I need to hire a plumber at $400.00 to check the P & T Valve for me. That it what he said he would charge even after the installation was made. Please advise ASAP

Installation instructions?

Does it not say in its installation instructions what will need to be done for high altitude applications? I would think it should.

Whose doing the installation? I would think they should be responsible for setting it up properly for you once installed.
