Hot water Heater

We recently had someone open the pressure valve on our hot water heater, they let out about 1 gallon of water. It started leaking after this so we emptied the tank about half way and replaced the valve. We turned all of the spigots on in the house and got all of the air out but we are still finding about an inch of water in a one gallon container every day. Should we wait and let the tank get rid of all of the air or is the valve bad?

You might want to try asking your question in Bob's plumbing forum (see the link below) as a water heater is considered a plumbing product rather than an "appliance" which is what my experience is with and this particular forum deals with.
