I recently redecorated my bathroom. The walls are painted with a semi-gloss paint. I put a border around the top. I used sizing, and a wallpaper paste activator. Everything looked great. Friends commented that they wanted the name of my painter/paper hanger. Several months later, I guess due to bathroom humidity... there are streaks of wallpaper paste that have run down the walls. How do I remove this? Should I just touch-up over it? Thanks. |

Do not just try to paint over it! It will be a disaster. Before turning to a chemical product, such as DIF, I recommend you mix up a little hot water and white vinegar. (Four parts water, one part vinegar.) First try rubbing the paste off with a sponge dipped in the solution. If need be, use a light nylon scrubbie (white or blue 3-M, not the harsh green) dipped to take off the paste. Normally the sponge will work and won't harm the paint. |
