Hi,
I want to build a patio cover over my rear concrete slab. http://picasaweb.google.com/TheBloodguard/Patio. I'm not sure on the best way to frame this. I plan to run ledger boards along the two outer walls and over the patio doors. Should I run boards along the sidewalls also? The area just outside the doors is 6' by 24' and the larger slab is 16' by 50'. Would it be best to run a beam across the 24' connected to ledgerboards on the sidewalls and then connect the larger patio to the other side of this beam? Any suggestions? I could have it separate from the the house but I think it would be better to connect to the house. THanks! Any info appreciated
