I remove most of the stucco the lumpy stuff leaving just a thin layer for texture look. I used to remove the stucco from the ceiling with spray water and a scraper spachula. I then sand the ceiling. I started to paint two days later using ceiling paint and a roller as i was painting some of the texture stucco started to fall off not alot but some. Do I have to remove all of the stucco from the ceiling and if so what do i use?
