I have a 1990 16x80 mobile home. It has a metal roof on it now, and I want to put sheathing down, felt, and then shingle the roof. The concern I have is; do I need to remove the metal roof and expose the trusses before I put new sheathing down, or can I go ahead and put the plywood sheathing over the metal. If I leave the metal roof on, would it help to put felt down first, then put the sheathing down. My concern is condensation.
