How to square a hoophouse

09/04/2007 05:43 PM kappelt

I am putting up a hoophouse so that I can extend my growing season. The structure is 26' wide by 48' long. I want to make sure the structure is square. My math skills arn't the best so the 3-4-5 rule means nothing to me. What should the cross length be? Also is there any secret to taking proper ground measurments?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

corner to corner should be about 638.711" or 53.225' just make sure both corner to corners are the same

Thanks for the advice. This is a much easier formula. We got a good rain shower yesterday. Hopefully the pole pounding will be easier.
