Not getting good information on appliances damaged by rats (stove and dishwasher)under manufactures warranties but getting run around from store it was purchased from and repairman does not want to get involved afraid of losing contract with company
Appliances are Whirlpools and getting very annoyed with processes
Can anyone be of assistance if I can not get the appliances replaced and if I could make company replace the appliances.

If you read most appliance's warranties (which should be spelled out in the owner's manual), they say something to the effect that they (the manufacturer) will repair or replace any component found to be defective *in material or workmanship*.

Rats are not a fault of the manufacturer and as such they are not responsible to repair such damage. I do not know any of ANY manufacturer that would repair such a failure under the warranty.

You mean you wanted him to fudge his repair records to make it look like a legitimate claim? If so, I don't blame him. I wouldn't do it either.

Manufactures will not usually do that even for a legitimate warranty claim. As the warranty states, they will "repair or replace any *component*...", not the whole appliance. The selling dealer has absolutely nothing to do with any of this.

BTW. If the fault is not one the manufacturer is responsible for, you would normally be expected to pay for the inspection charge as well.

No what I meant on the repairman's
end he hasnt turned in a report on his findings so we can at least do something to get an answer one way or another
I would not want anyone to tell a lie
then if I needed help to repair new appliances I could not find a honest person to help me out next time

Was wondering what to do it was not my fault either had pest control to rid problem and took a while.
But when stove quit working in the turning on the burnes by electric ignition we found out it was destoryed by the rats
It was working by lighting burners by hand.

Then store was trying to help out and see if we could at least get replacement or something; neither appliance is a year old
But waiting on this also

Did you pay him for the inspection? I doubt he can submit any kind of report and get paid from the factory so I can only assume he isn't going to but you'd have to ask him. If you're willing to pay for it (like should actually be your responsibility in such a case) I'm sure he will make out the paperwork for you pronto.

Either try your homeowners insurance or you'll likely have to bit the bullet and chalk it up to (a bad) experience I'm afraid. :(

Unless they're willing to supply it them self at their own cost, I wouldn't hold your breath. I'm sure the factory isn't going to supply a replacement (unless you buy it).
