I live in an apartment that came with a Kenmore Spacemaster over the stove. I was just wiping it out when I noticed that the top of the inside appeared to be removable. Can you tell me if that is the way they are made? I found some little black things on top of the plastic and it is really grossing me out. There is a fan of some sort above the plactic top. I want to be sure before I act.
