** On the clock digital read out I get a F2 and a beeping sound... what to do or what needs fixed? **

That would depend on the exact model of kenmore electric stove you have as Kenmore appliances can be made by a number of different manufacturers. If you post its model number as written on the appliance's identification tag, we may be able to tell you what that fault code is suppose to indicate on it.

You can find tips for locating the model and serial number tag on your appliances in the 'Repair Parts' section of my site linked below.

DanO:
The model number listed on the stove is 911.4674591 and the Ser. # is 4T25440. I hopes that helps.

Range

Hi,

**On the clock digital read out I get a F2 and a beeping sound until I push any of the set pads - model number listed on the stove is 911.4674591**

911.######### is a Roper built Kenmore. I found these for Roper....

F2 - Oven temperature sensor shorted - Replace oven temperature sensor

F2 - Bake/Clean temperature runaway alarm

1. Allow unit to sit for one hour to cool down
2. Place oven temperature sensor in a glass of ice water
3. Measure oven temperature sensor resistance. The oven temperature sensor should measure about 1000 ohms while in the ice water
· If the oven temperature sensor is good but the problem remains replace the electronic range control (ERC)
· If the oven temperature sensor is bad, replace it

Oven sensor assembly - 911.4674591 - if needed.

Kenmore stove with F2 problem

06/04/2005 12:47 PM dharper

I have one last problem. I cannot find my owners manual for the stove so I am at a loss to determine where the oven sensor and
ECR is let alone the schematic blow up that shows the assembly and diassembly. How can I get a schematic of the parts location etc. or even another owners manual????????????

schematic blow up

** I am at a loss to determine where the oven sensor and ECR is **

The ERC (electronic range control) is the clock/control thingy in the control panel. The oven sensor looks like the part Jeff linked to and is sticking inside the oven cavity.

** let alone the schematic blow up that shows the assembly and diassembly. **

You can find exploded parts views of your model at the S ears PartsDirect web site however it is not meant as an aid to disassembly or reassembly but maybe it will help you? Disassembly and assembly would usually only be covered in a *service manual* (not the owner's manual) which is unlikely to be found on-line in any fashion (... if one is available at all).
