KitchenMaid Cabinets

01/28/2008 12:14 PM bunchahicks

I have discovered after 6 years of living in our old farmhouse that the cabinets are kitchenmaid. There is a metal tab on the inside rear of each with the name punched. As they have several coats of paint, I will have to strip to identify the species of wood. I have found little information online, other than a 1919 Good Housekeeping add and the parent company, Wasmuth-Endicott Company of Indiana. The worst part of the cabinets are trying to attach the doors, they are rounded and thin on the edge and even the smallest screw goes through the door. Thanks for any information.

Kitchenmaid cabinets

I also have kitchenmaid cabinets in my kitchen. I too am unable to find a screw that will not go completely through the doors of the cabinets. It appears my only solution is to replace all the cabinet doors.
