Kitty presents or infestation? |

Within the last few months I have found three dead mice. One on my stoop, one my the sliding door on my deck out back, and one just inside the garage door. Conditions have been ripe for an increase in species population, but how do I know if they're in my house? All three of our family cats roam outside on a regular basis. |

You will know if they are in your house by putting various foods in back of (dark areas)cupboards, closets or poarch and see if it disappears. |

If they're in the house they leave evidence and sometimes make noise in the night. The most telltale sign: droppings. Hopefully all the activity is outside--but in my experience, I wouldn't count on it. Amazing how they find ways to get in--they squeeze through the smallest openings. So be on the lookout--but again, hopefully they're all outside. (It took me a couple years to track their entry points, and hopefully eliminate the problem.) Good luck, -k2 in CO. |

Need a good mouser |

I have one cat that happens to be an excellent mouser. She sits and waits by the kitchen door and last week she caught three of them. I live out in the country and mice in the house is just a way of life, so we have 15 cats to take care of the little buggers, oh and its a big house so we hardly notice the cats unless we feed them treats, then they all come running. |

My cats would leave their "trophies" at the kitchen door and the sliding glass doors. Sometimes it was moles, sometimes mice, one time they left one in my shoe but usually at the entrances, where ( I think) they would know I would see it, sort of a present for me.
I always praised them when I found one.
