Due to the expense of the manufacturers reccommended underlayments for laminate flooring,(up to 1.21 per sq ft.) I was wondering if cheap old roofing felt is a viable alternative. If anyone has used this with success please let me know. I don't want my underlayment to cost nearly as much as my laminate flooring.
