Lattice pricacy ontop of existing fence..thoughts?

08/02/2007 08:49 AM terptitan

I have en existing fence. I also have low level deck and I can peak over to my neighbors yard. I want privacy. I would like to add a 2-3' section of lattice on top of my existing fence to offer that privacy. What is the best way to go about doing this? Can I build it myself?

I've never tried to put up lattice myself, but there may be an easier way to create some privacy over your preexisting fence. You could try using a surface covering material to attach directly to your fence. I've seen it done around my neighborhood, and I think I saw Long Beach putting the stuff up to cover up a fence that was hiding a construction site.

FenceFabric.com -- it's much easier to install than lattice and you get a lot more design options. It has grommets on the edges and it comes with zipties that are really strong ... all you have to do it tie it to your fence. You can get custom sizes and designs too.

I hope this helped a bit!
