I wrote caulk but I would use black silicone roof sealant. I would rather have a longer term solution. The skylight is almost 25 years old like the house. It appears that the roofer used the original metal flashing for the skylight; I see flashing coming out from the skylight and under the shingles. The skylight is about 20 X 40 inches with the short side up. I looked in attic and see that the water is coming in the top side of the skylight and it is not a nail leak. I wonder how hard it is to retrofit install a flashing kit. |
