Limitations of Expanding Modular Homes

09/26/2007 11:10 AM ttble68

Can anybody tell me any limitaions of Modualr Homes from a change or expansion perspective. Are all the walls load bearing meaning that you can't really take a wall down between rooms? What if you need to run some new wiriing between rooms, can you just open them up and replace the drywall?

I'm some what of a novice here but we need to make some quick decsions between repairing ane expanding a fire damaged house or building a new modular.

The Fire damage was minumul to the structure. mainly smoke and water but from a pricing perspective, expanding is almost the same as a new modular,
