My parents house has a long hallway. The first door on the right is a small bedroom. The second and last door on the right is the master bedroom. The master bath is tiny. I am proposing knocking out the wall between the two rooms and turning the small bedroom into a master bath. The problem is my parents want to leave the door in the hallway as a second entrance to thye master bathroom. This would eat up valuable "new" master bathroom space. I have never seen a house with two separate entrances to the master bathroom (sepecially with one entrance being from the main hallway). I am concerned if they ever want to sell the house and move someone looking at it is going to frown upon the design. Does it not take away the privacy of a "master" bath and just turn it into a separate room that just happens to be a bathroom plus take up valuable floor space? Yes, it's their house, but I have never seen a master bath with this type of design. Would be interested in comments or advice. Feel free to email me at home. |
