I have been in my apartment for about a month it is in an old building in Boston that has a restaurant on both sides of it. So I am sure there are mice in the building even though it appears to be very clean. Also my apartment is so clean and all of our food is in glass canisters and plastic bins with lids and the trash has a lid and we have the ultrasonic (sunbeam brand) and electromagnetic (pestacator and sunbeam brand) whatever things plugged in the walls of every room in the apartment which only has a bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom. We have also put bounce dryer sheets all around the place. And in the past week we have seen a mouse twice (possibly the same one or two different ones) and found droppings on the floor between the fridge and the cabinet. We do have some holes around poles that go to the radiator which we must need to fill in but what can we fill them with? Is steel wool ok to use next to a pole that is connected to an old radiator that gets hot? Also I have heard that some mice will try and gnaw through that stuff. And I am too disgusted by the mouse to use traps because then I will have to clean the dead mouse or let the alive mouse go with those humane traps. Under the door to the apartment is probably even enough space for a mouse to get through, what can we put there to cover the space and still be able to open the door? Also we have a fireplace is that an entrance for them? Also do moth balls, peppermint oil or extract, and ammonia really work and fresh cab herbal mouse repellant, know anything about any of these things. Also if I cover the holes then the mouse is trapped in my apartment right, so what do you think? Also how much is a reasonable price for an exterminator in this situation? |

Know your enemy, sounds like the mice are out whitting you. fill holes with "Great stuff" they don;t like the taste, won't sharpen there teeth or grind them down. they don't like moth balls but will put up with them.. If they can't find any Food within 100 ft they will move to next house that has food plot, mice can live on potatoe chip crumb oder? for a day, you would be surprised what they consider food, when times get stuff, Nutrients, what do you have there they can eat, ants, bugs,PET FOOD,
CHECK ALL YOUR CABNETS, They will or may have a stash some where...
doin' it right the first time is not an option ? |
