Microwave oven paint touch up

We bought a 10-yr old home with a built in combination oven & microwave. The micorwave interior (oven cavity) is rusted on the inside top. Does anyone have experience with procedures and materials that could be used to rennovate the interior paint on microwaves? I tried to find a new micorwave component, but am told I would have to buy the entire combo unit at about $2,000. The oven cavity is not sold as a part. Kenmore model 665.4433452, ser. FSE1807333.
