All microwave ovens have to be vented in some way. Models that can be built-in have this venting through the front, counter-top models on the top or rear. I think you'll see that an under the cabinet microwave oven model has its venting on the bottom. Unless you made allowances for that venting in your enclosure, it would not function properly (at least for long).
