Mitre or Table Saw...NEW WOODWORKER!

10/22/2009 04:00 PM atb72724

I recently built wood shelving, cutting the wood w/ a circular saw. I plan on doing more of the same type of building in the future (with 2x4, 2x3, etc).

To speed along the process AND make the cuts more accurate, which would be better...

MITRE SAW or TABLE SAW??

A miter saw is fine for cutting wood to length.

A table saw excels at ripping. But it also does fine doing cross-cuts, miter, joinery, dadoes and grooves, cutting plywood and bevel cuts.

No comparison, in my opinion.
