Mud is delaminating from the paper tape

02/07/2009 02:01 AM IntheJohn09

New greenboard installed in the bathroom. Paper tape over the seams has no bubbles. First coat of mud looks great. After the next coat of mud dries, cracks form along the edges of the tape and across the tape then the dried mud starts to delaminate from the tape. Why is this happening? First used adhesive mesh paper tape then removed it and used regular paper tape just like in the video on this site. Still cracking and delaminating after the second coat. This has never happened to me before this project. Please help. Thanks from the John.
