I have a Murray model 2-36503 riding tractor with a mfg date of 2123. I am trying to find a parts manual and the belt size that fits it. Any one know where to go. Murray doesn't have it - says it's too old.

Both have toll-free numbers and can normally help you research older parts. I tried searching using the model number you provided and it's not coming up. The page listed above for Jack's broke out belts by deck size (e.g., 38" deck) and year of manufacture. The Outdoor Dist page listed belts by size...not as much help but by calling them, you may have luck. I've also obtained older parts/service manuals from both locations.

Jim/Grandmarana - probably way too late, but I also have same model and need manual.
Blade belt is 5/8" x 82" and is a standard industrial drive belt. You can get from Davidson Supply, Lawton, OK, or order # 75-582 from Ron Stephens Supply same town, 800-811-0252. The Mfg date is a Julian date, and means your mower is a 1982 year model, built on day #123 (April/May).
Mine is also a 1982, but built on 268th day of 1981 (1268) = Aug/Sep.
