Need discontinued Bruce parquet

02/27/2009 08:58 AM leakylady

I need to find some discontinued flooring to replace small areas of flood damaged parquet:

Bruce Hardwood Floors
Solid Oak Parquet
Bruce American Home Series
AHS-100HD
Desert (Smooth)
Dura-Luster (Urethane) Finish
5/16 IN X 12 IN X 12 IN

Hope someone can help.

The current parquet offered by Armstrong, which owns Bruce, is under the name Hartco Hardwood Flooring. It is possible the "desert" color is still available, but under another name. Otherwise the network of wholesale distributors throughout the country may have old stock. You may call the Armstrong, or the Bruce, or the Hartco, customer service numbers to start (they are different divisions within the same corporation). I am currently making a similar inquiry for a customer who is seeking the "chestnut" color.

Thanks, but my contractor refused to wait for results from this site. He bought unfinished oak parquet from Bruce and had the stain color matched. It isn't perfect, but looks OK.
