Neil,

Great job on your recent post at your blog regarding T Chisel. For those who don't know about Neil's blog and podcast, you should check it out at http://www.furnitology.blogspot.com/. Neil does more contemporary design furniture. His first piece he built on the blog was an ash dresser. While building the piece, he said something that was rang too true and most woodworks forget. He said "This piece is built to sell to your neighbor down the street and you still make money.

I know too many customers who pull out a drawer to check if it is dovetailed or not (machine cut). If there are dovetails then the piece is a good piece of furniture...it doesn't matter about any other constuction techniques or materials used. Neil likes to show how to use good techniques and materials, yet build fast enought to make some money.
