I have a deck that's just hitting 1 year. I'm going to satin it this month and I'm wondering if I should sand it before I stain. I have a couple of broads that are cupped and some ends that are higher then others. I'm thinking of sanding the whole deck to get a nice smooth feel before I stain it. Should I? What should I use? Hand sander or drum sander? Any Ideas?
