Can somebody give me advice on how to remove old steel casement windows. I'd like to install replacement windows by myself. But, the brochures from manufacturers of replacement windows only explain how to remove sash and sliding windows made of wood or aluminum. The job seems somewhat more complicated when dealing with steel casement windows. Do I need to remove the steel frame attached (imbedded?) to the wall opening, or just the swinging sashes and hinges? Is a reciprocating saw with a bimetal blade the tool needed? I thank you in advance. |
