We recently purchased a modular home.The cabinets are not real wood.They are a veneer type cabinet.I would like to paint them with a crackle look using a white base with a grey/blue. Can this be done? What do I need to do to the cabinets before I can paint them. I was told to apply the white first then apply the blue with a twisting motion with a sponge. Is this the corrst procedure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PUT THE ACCENT COLOR ON LAST. IF BLUE IS THE COLOR YOUR USING IN THE KITCHEN, WHITE GOES ON FIRST, THEN THE BLUE. DEPENDING ON HOW BIG OR HOW MANY CRACKS IS HOW MUCH OR LITTLE OF THE CRACKLE YOU PUT ON THE BRUSH.
YOU SHOULD EXPERIMENT FIRST ON SCRAP WOOD.
BRUSH WITH THE GRAIN OF THE WOOD AND DON'T GO OVER IT AGAIN, IT STARTS TO WORK INSTANTLY. GOOD LUCK WITH THE PROJECT.
