Hey T,

Im just finishing up the fan, looking pretty sweet though. I should be finished the table by the end of the weekend. Are you going to go over the banding around the apron? and the finish?

Hey Man,

I'm still plugging away. The weekend looks rainy so I'll get going on some of the embellishments then... hopefully post some stringing and flower pics soon

Got sidetracked

05/01/2008 12:49 AM paulcomi

A week ago, we bought a weekend car ('64 convertible corvair) and I got sidetracked. Sorry, I know this isn't confession but I won't let you down T. Also, to be honest, when I was practicing scratching stringing on a scrap piece of mahogany, I didn't like the look I was getting with using maple veneer I picked up at Rockler because it was so thin so I've been resisting scratching into that leg I spent so much time making already. I think I need to pick up a piece of holly and cut a strip that will give me a thicker more pronounced stringing look.

I should have just jumped in and bought the veneer when you guys ordered it online but I didn't.

Hey,

Well, Ive busted my balls this week to try to finish the table. Its pretty much finished, I just need to do the banding around the apron and then the finish.

I hope the workshop went well this weekend. I'll have to make a trip out sometime when you have another.
